How to say it - /k/ & /g/ sounds
Introduction to /k/ & /g/
To make these sounds, put the back of your tongue on roof of your mouth. Use your tongue to stop air going out of your mouth. Increase the air pressure inside your mouth, then suddenly push your tongue down and forward.
The difference between /k/ and /g/ is that /k/ is an unvoiced sound, and /g/ is a voiced sound. In /g/ the air touches the vocal cords and makes them vibrate. In /k/ the air does not vibrate the vocal cords
