Muses Yip

Muses Yip is a second-year undergraduate majoring in marketing at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She’s a full-time grumbler who keeps up with social media. A passionate girl, she enjoys analysing social trends and online viral phenomena; but she’s also an introvert who likes to think and complain a lot.

Author’s Introduction

As a girl who likes being critical but prefers not to speak out, I choose to type instead. Stuck at home because of the COVID-19 pandemic, I noticed that everyone suddenly turned into a “chef” by following some instructions on Instagram. This is hilarious but also a pity, as there is usually a great chef in our home, perhaps overlooked. While I’m no cooking expert, it’s clear that these home chefs treat cooking as more than just an everyday routine. They show their care and best wishes to us with their cooking. Think about the last meal you had with your family at home, and give my work a read. Maybe then, you’ll go straight to the kitchen and learn the precious art and skill of cooking from your mom.
