Impact of Globalization
- but: Environmental problems

- because: Rainforests are vanishing

- but: It is caused by civilization instead. It's not directly point to Globalization

- but: globalisation causes demand for palm oil bio-fuel grown in plantations in cleared rainforest
- because: Half of the forests in the world has dismissed, which cause the amount of carbon dioxide increase and worse the global warming.
- because: The pollution matiricals will be easily transferred to world.
- because: agree. the fact is that the acid rain has been pass to the other countries.
- but: I think it is not caused by globalization...
- because: The really fact is that some developed countries build manufactories in developing countries because the workforce there is cheap, which cause polution there.
- but: Although that is the fact, it should be due to the poor regulation on those area only. Without globalisation, the case is still happened
- Cause: the development of transportation and information technology.

- Effect: People from different countries share their cultures and hence come up with globalization

- Effect: And globalization can improve the speed of developing, that's a healthy cycle

- Effect: Economic benefit of developed countries is much higher than that of developing countries

- but: globalization can help developing country since it can bring new concepts and technologies.

- Cause: Unfair rules

- because: The developing countries have no choice but trade the valuable natual resources(e.g petrolleum, coal, natual gas etc.) to the superpowers
- Effect: It might be even harder for developing countries to catch up with developed countries especially in Africa.
- Problem: Disparity of rich and poor
- but: The prices of goods and services from the developing countries will move toward to the developed countries
- because: Agree. Those technologics provided/traded by the superpowers do nothing to the poor. It's only used in the purpose of business
- but: Why superpower should help developing country.
- Solution: to create more customers - it's an investment
- Solution: In case of having a balanced development, those countries should help the developing one
- Problem: No ones do that in reality. Economics is everthing.
- Effect: Gap between rich and poor will be widen

- because: especially for the poor countries, they cannot get the information though the internet.
- because: repeated point
- Problem: besides, workers in developed countries are also losing jobs

- but: why??Maybe some handicraft or manufactory industry has been moved to developed countries, however, global market always be monopolized by developed countries.
- because: developed countries purchase commodities from developing countires at very cheap prices, so some factories in developed countries cannot compete with them.
- Effect: Globalization has facilitated communication between people speaking various languages

- Effect: Globalization makes the world more peaceful
- but: Globalization leads to the spread of terrorism
- Cause: It will be much easier for terrorist to move to other countries to attack objectives.
- but: This is no obvious evidence between terrorism ang globalization.
- because: collapse of nationalism
- Effect: Better education can be spreaded to the world.
- but: In the developing countries, however, the children are not rich enough to have computers. how do they learn more though this century?
- Effect: Globalization of science leads to the fusion of scientific data and rules to form a uniform network of database (business.mapsofindia.com)
- Effect: Cultural difference is reduced.
- but: Local or national culture is closely related to identity and belief. They are not that easy to be replaced.
- Cause: They are outcomes of thousands of interaction, communication and collective experience.
- but: But it seems to me that keeping local culture and accepting national culture is not a contradiction.
- but: local cultural identities in different parts of the world have experienced a revival (Giddens (2002) )
- because: localist and nationalist movements have proliferated around the world (Baracco (2006) )
- but: Globalization can bring people together and make everyone richer without getting rid of local cultures (Friedman (2005) )
- because: Partially agree, but not everyone will find it benificial. E.g, family with low education level plus low income
- but: Enchance the exchange of culture
- because: Some cultures may be ruined by invasive ones.
- because: Affirmative, many historical buildings are deconstructed to build new type of buildings, this will lose a city's building style, Hong Kong is one of the example
- because: Yes,the point is architectures nowadays is in non-traditional, western style.
- because: The cultures of developing countries' will always be the sacrifice of globalization.
- because: Usually, but not really. E.g China, Tradition and art are both well conserved.
- because: Examples: style of dressing, food, education etc.
- Effect: Culture is westernized

- but: There is also some Asian Countries such as China, Korea and Japan are affecting the world.
- because: Apparently, the culture of different countries are influence between each other. i know quite a lot of foreigners have learnt how to use PTH
- because: Agree.Globalization doesn't means westernization or americanization. It an interactive influence between nations
