GUIDELINES FOR WRITING FYP TITLES
When preparing and presenting the title of your FYP, consider the following points.
- Keep the title as short as possible
- Delete unnecessary words,
- e.g. A Study of ..., A Review of ..., An Investigation into ...,
- Use a colon if it will help to shorten the title
- e.g. The Integer Building: Chilled System Performance Evaluation
- Do not use abbreviations in the title
- Check for grammatical accuracy
- Check for correct spelling
- Present the title in a clear and attractive style *
* There is usually a recommended style given by departments for presenting the title page of the final year project and this should be followed exactly in terms of content, size, position, capitalization, etc.
A FYP Title page usually contains the following information:- Title of the Project
- Student's Name
- Student's ID
- Supervisor's Name
- Date
