PIFS library - Procedure for borrowing movies

Welcome to the PIFS library. In order to borrow a movie from our collection, you must follow these simple steps:

  1. Choose a movie or book from browsing the PIFS movies on the PIFS movie shelves in CILL.
  2. Take the movie to the CILL counter. Fill in a new record in the Lending file. You will need to show your Student ID card and your PIFS membership card to the CILL staff for verification.
  3. Make sure to return the movies within two days of the borrowing. A special three days lend is allowed for movies borrowed on Fridays.

We choose our films according to the following criteria:

1. cover a wide range of genres (drama, sci-fi, musical, action, animation, etc)
2. be international; be in various languages
3. be critically acclaimed and not easily accessible in local stores or shown in cinemas or on TV frequently
4. have artistic, cultural or philosophical value
5. be alternative, independent or experimental

We welcome suggestions for new purchases and we especially welcome reviews of any films or books that you have enjoyed from our library. We will be happy to publish these reviews on our web page.
