Types:
     Baggie - oversize
     Bell bottoms/Flares - A-shape from knee to ankle. Originally nautical. Became fashionable in 60's.
     Capri - tight fitting women's trousers with narrow tapered legs and ankle slits.
     Clam digger - see earlier.
     Culottes - women's flared shortened trousers made to look like a skirt.
     Dungarees - originally work clothes in the form of trousers with chest high front cover held up by
     straps over the back and shoulders. Later became a fashion item.
     Gaucho - wide calf length trousers for women originally of Spanish origin.
     Harem - Women's trousers fully gathered into waist and ankles. Originally from the Middle-East.
     Hip huggers - trousers beginning below the waist area.

     Jodhpurs or Riding breeches - Trousers for men and women originally designed for riding.
     Characterised by fullness on outer thigh and tight fitting around the calf of the leg.
  Pantyhose/Tights (Br.Eng.)
women's stocking garment going from the foot right up to the waist. Replaced stockings held up by a suspender belt and garters.
  Parka hooded jacket worn for warmth outdoors (see anorak).
  Petticoat
women's undergarment worn under dress or skirt from hip to hem. Purpose is usually to give fullness to outer dress/skirt.

  Poncho [ ]
square or rectangular body cover with opening in middle for head. As worn by Clint Eastwood in Spaghetti Western films.
