How this module can help you

This module can help you by giving you the chance to develop the skills needed to plan, prepare and produce project reports. Apart from the obvious relevance to students who need to write a final-year project report, the genre of reports has been shown to be one of the most common types of writing found in the academic and professional fields. Reports may vary from a single-page progress report to a book-like volume with hundreds of pages. This module will equip you with the strategies to tackle a wide variety of report formats. The module is very practical and so you will be expected to draft a mini-report during the course. This module is designed to help you develop the ability to write clearly, concisely and correctly.

Level

This is a level B module mainly intended for second- and third-year students who want to enhance their English proficiency in areas of need or interest. The main aim of these modules is to help students to develop more sophisticated communication skills in the language. Level B modules are pitched at intermediate to upper-intermediate levels.

Objectives

This module aims to help students develop the language and skills needed to present relevant facts and opinions in project reports.
